Taylor Seymour

Dancing since age 4, Taylor grew up and trained in Toowoomba, Queensland. After graduating secondary school, Taylor moved to Sydney where she studied a Diploma of Dance (Elite Performance) with Sydney Dance Company’s Pre-Professional Year (2018). In Sydney, Taylor participated in choreographic developments with acclaimed national and international artists and choreographers including performing repertoire by Artistic Director of Sydney Dance Company, Rafael Bonachela, and original works by Cas Mortimer Eipper and Victoria Chu. She performed in a Breath Art Installation work by Sydney Contemporary artist Meg O’Callaghan as well as in a film project by renowned artist Sue Healey, entitled Narrabeen.

In 2019 Taylor worked independently as a dancer on project-based performances in Brisbane, such as a contemporary work entitled The Play of Light directed and choreographed by Elise May, Expressions Dance Company, for The Curious Arts Festival. Taylor went on to study a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Dance Performance) at Queensland University of Technology, which she completed in 2021, graduating with Distinction and academic excellence.

Now relocated in Melbourne, Taylor is looking forward to working with Dancebourne Arts in their upcoming 2022 season.
